I spent a lot of time googling *mo chuisle*. See, Killian calls Gus this pretty early on in the piece and I found a site that lets you play it and hear it.
https://www.howtopronounce.com/mo-chuisle/
Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m a sucker for an Irish or Scottish accent. You’re probably asking why I had to google it more than once. Well, I convinced myself after listening to the pronunciation a couple of times, that I had it fixed in my head. Then, good ole Killian, lets one fly and I NEED to hear it again. But, then I clicked on another link…and it sounded completely different.
The dude in the clip sounds like he is saying - Em-o-chu-esill
Then I heard another clip - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QB7tmiDwHg
and she says – khwish-leh
I’m not sure which one to stick with? They both sound good, but it can be bloody confusing choosing which one is correct…hence the muti-google. Are they both correct? Is this some Irish trickery…codding us unfortunate souls? They (those bloody Irish tricksters) probably think I’m a feckin eejit for wasting so much time on this. 😉
Anyways…I really enjoyed Until Nox. Poor bloody Gus, what would be worse than rocking up to the door of the guy you plan to move in with, and finding another woman there? Yeah, luckily, she’s not stupid and dumps his stupid arse. But, little did she know, Gus had a beast at her back…
Killian couldn’t have planned it better. The little one, Gus, is exactly the kind of woman he’s been waiting for. Luckily, her boyfriend is an idiot and let her slip away. Killian Nox is not an idiot and he plans to make her so happy she’ll never want to leave.
For a short story, this one packed a punch. Gus is a quirky character that you can’t help but love and Killian is a bad boy who knows what he wants and does everything in his power to get it.
Until Nox was fast-paced, funny and really steamy. I loved the opportunity to check in with some beloved characters and the chance to meet some new ones.
Another great instalment to the Hyde series and I will definitely be reading more of Layla Frost’s books in the future.
