A Springbok and a Divorce is a comedy that addresses a simple question: What is marriage? Is it a really a God ordained requirement or a scheme of The elite?
Why can't couples cohabit faithfully before God, in set-ups that suit THEM and their circumstances and not a rigged System?
The book accounts the shenanigans of two men, Mr Deon Smith and Mr Bheka Dlamini. Besides the lives of these men special emphasis is placed on the adventures of Brian, Deon's son, who has a personality peculiar to his or any generation.
The characters take the reader on an uproarious journey in a typically South African fashion.
Emphasis is placed on the Culture, or lack thence, which affect the main characters who in fact are almost two peas in a pod.
This comedy also examines the blase attitude which develops among some married men and the consequences of the same. Yet are there two sides to this matter and does the wife have to exercise restraint or even long- suffering? You the reader, must decide.
