Sections in this field manual provide information on the following: general provisions; organization and personnel; addressing of personal and official military mail; postal service for posts, camps, and stations located in zone of the interior; embarkation Army post offices; postal service in theaters of operations or independent oversea commands; locator card files and directory service; V-mail service; registered, insured, and C.O.D. mail; Army courier service; oversea cable and radio messages; and miscellaneous provisions. The appendix is a general agreement between the U.S. Post Office Department and the War Department concerning Army Postal Service."
