I adored Lord of Scoundrels. Jessica is such an odd heroine, but in a good way. She's a spinster and she owns it. She just wants to live her own life and make her own money by hunting for antiques and then selling them for exorbitant prices. It's actually her talent for recognizing rare pieces which catches Dain's eye, even though he never looks twice at ladies. From there the battle begins. Jessica and Dain are always pushing each other's buttons and trying to one up each other and after a series of unfortunate events, lands them married. Luckily, the two are completely in lust with each other and don't mind it so much. And of course it leads to love!
I also loved how Lord of Scoundrels does a really good job of setting up for the next book. Ainswood gets himself into a lot of trouble when he learns about an antique that Jess uncovers. This winds up involving some other people connected to Dain, and it just becomes a big ol' mess! It definitely left me excited to see what comes next for him. He's not a bad guy, he just makes stupid decisions.
