Quirky Cat

Lately, they’ve been really pushing the whole ‘Batman/Bruce cannot be happy’ plot. I get why they’re doing that, I really do. I understand that Bruce’s character is the driving force behind this – that his self-sabotage is what prevents his happiness more often than not. But sometimes it’s like watching a puppy get kicked in the face. Enough is enough.
So while Batman may not have reacted well to what happened to him (understandably) or responded the way I would have liked to the person talking to him…I am glad that it happened. That somebody took the time to show him the good that Batman can do.
I think some Batman theorists may not like what the woman had to say though. Because it implies that Batman doesn’t always create villains. It takes the responsibility for the harshest antagonists of the series and puts it squarely on their shoulders. Some people may not like that, and to be honest I’m not sure how I feel about it either. But I’m still happy to have seen it being said if that makes sense.
