This publication presents a series of evaluation studies (single case studies and long-term follow-up) investigating the impact of alcohol education courses (AECs) on offending and drinking behaviour in the UK. The intervention treatment was offered to young offenders recruited from local courts. Since the first Alcohol Education Course was established in 1981, this form of service has been expanded across the UK.
