My favorite aspect of Full Blooded was that instead of every male shifter out there wanting to wed and bed Jessica, the majority of them want her dead. She's an abomination in their eyes, and she's supposedly the start of some mysterious curse that will bring ruin to them all. Werewolves are a very superstitious lot. Then there are those who just don't want a woman in the pack, they're holding on to ancient ideas that should be done away with. But when it comes down to it, none of these men want her around at all, since she's likely only to bring trouble to pack. Which she does.
Full Blooded is chock full of Urban Fantasy cliches. Sexist supernatural society? Check. Uber special/powerful female who faces adversity from the menfolk? Check. Super annoying, asshole cop who toes the line between what's his job and what's his own vendetta? Check. The unexpected true mate? Check. Sweet, yet nosy Latina neighbor? Check! But I enjoyed it all! Except maybe Juanita, who was too much of a stereotype to really be enjoyable.
Full Blooded is an action packed, fun ride! We've got the cops out for Jessica, traitors in her pack, vampires, rival packs, just everybody wants a piece of her! There's attack after attack, reveals of intentions, and some great surprises! Then it all ends without any resolutions! This is highly unusual, since there's normally at least a conclusion to the book specific plot while the series plot is gaining momentum. But, nope! Luckily I had the following books on me!
