"Blackwell English" aims to help children develop the skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing for Key Stage 3. The source material in the series, much of which was specially commissioned, includes stories by Amoafi Kwapong, George Layton and Jan Mark, poems by Mike Rosen, a playscript by Angie Farrow and an interview with Anna Home, Head of Children's Programming at the BBC. There are also notes by the writers on their approaches to writing. This teaching resource contains photocopiable sheets that supplement the activites in the student books. There is also material on self-assessment, and information on how the book relates to attainment targets.
