This book is designed for novice WordPerfect for Windows users as well as for readers already familiar with WordPerfect for DOS who may be switching to the Windows version. The book features the ruler; the Button Bar, an element of the graphical interface, to which users can add their own commands and macros; font preview; and WYSIWYG graphics. The five parts of the book are divided into 52 easy-to-follow lessons each of which teaches a complete WordPerfect for Windows function. The lessons are task-oriented and arranged in a logical progression, which is based on the skills the user acquires while working through the book. Part 1 concentrates on teaching the fundamentals of WordPerfect 5.1. Part 2 explores some of the aspects of working in a Windows environment, and has the user divide the screen into several windows to work with several documents at one time. All of the 52 lessons are arranged to guide the user through a logical sequence to acquire the skills of entering, formatting, and printing professional-quality documents. It is aimed at beginning WordPerfect for Windows users and the installed base of WordPerfect users changing to the Windows version, both business and academic. Although aimed primarily at the novice user, even more experienced users should find the lessons informative and helpful, especially those lessons that deal with the graphical interface.
