The imagery in the story transported me to the places that Alda traveled. The description of the lightening storm was fantastic!
There was a great mix of action, imagery and romance. The characters were well developed and the story moved along well.
There were a couple of the events that didn't quite make sense to me - I really didn't get Walker's motivation - I do understand the jealousy aspect, just not the extremes he would go to. Added to that the hints that revenge would be taken for his final act in the story and then nothing happened. I was expecting more. I also felt that the shootout scene (I won't say more because I don't want to spoil the story for you) seemed to be lacking in detail (not gore!! but what was happening. I was left feeling like too many things were left to my imagination.) There were also a few things that were introduced at the end that seemed like there was more to the story that should have been explained.
Overall, the story was well told and I am grateful to the author for giving me this chance to read it.
