Soundstart is a phonics-based reading programme, providing seven levels of progression from pre-reading to age 7. The Violet Core and Booster Packs consist of seven mixed titles - 1 Core Reader and six Booster Readers, which introduce the less common vowel digraphs and extend the sight recognition vocabulary, including all the high frequency words. It also revisits and practises all the key phonic and spelling requirements. Core and Booster titles are available in guided reading sets (single title x 5).
