Composed in London in 2011, Banana Parlour is an experimental work which combines seven chapters of prose-poetry written by young author Lilo Topchev with a collection of contemporary images by photographer Neil Anderson. The formula is simple: Lilo provides her words and Neil supplies his pictures. Placed together at random, with refreshingly unexpected consequences, the resulting juxtapositions are intriguing and inspiring one moment, frustrating and misleading the next, but never predictable.
