- First Date: Diaz starts things off strong, and she keeps the adrenaline level high throughout. An elite group known as EXIT has targeted Sabrina Hightower for termination. This company does the work too hot for the Alphabet branches of the United States; they are an assassination team. Mason Hunt is an enforcer and former military sniper with strong moral codes and when he learns his target may be innocent things get intense. The tale is fast paced from the onset and I am holding on.
- Second date: Sabrina Hightower is such a breath of fresh air in the romantic suspense genre. While she may think Mason is H-O-T hot, the girl is not looking to hide behind him. She dives in, grabs a weapon and is ready to clear her name and get justice. Poor Mason, this is all so new to him, and the questions raised about the organization he is so proud to work for are hard to deal with, not to mention how distracting Sabrina is. I liked Mason, he is smart and his personal backstory had me fully engaged. Forget the truffles on this date, bring your sneakers instead as there are intense heart stopping action scenes with some tender moments as Sabrina and Mason get to know each other.
- Third Date: I cannot set Exit Strategy down. The action is non-stop and our couple find themselves in constant peril. I love how fleshed out the details are as Mason and Sabrina investigate. Secondary characters added interest and our villain is downright scary. I am very curious about another couple we met, and a certain local police officer has me curious as well. While this may be a series, Diaz wrapped this up nicely and it looks like each will work as a standalone with a common arc throughout.
