Shift is a fun collection of five were-bear romance novellas. Each one follows a resident of Pine Falls, Minnesota, as he finds his true mate, most of which are human women. Normally shifters don't mate with humans, but for four of these grizzlies, that's exactly who fate has set him up with. The fifth gets himself a wolf who's new in town. Of course, all of these are of the insta-lust variety. I wouldn't exactly categorize them as fated mates, but they kind of are. It's just not developed or explained in that way. The bears can just smell that these women are made for them and that is that.
My favorite of the bunch is Shift Just Got Real, which is an age-gap romance! Mal is 40 and Ryann is 20, which isn't that crazy (atleast to me, since my boyfriend is 30 years older than me). Does a Bear Shift in the Woods would be my second favorite since it takes on Dom/sub play as Maddie is a submissive wolf and of course Chance is a big, burly, dominant alpha bear! The other three stories are good as well, but didn't have that something extra to make them stand out.
