Allthumbs McKringle is a clumsy elf with a kind heart who upsets the routine at the North Pole and frustrates Santa. Dejected, Allthumbs retreats to the basement of Santa's workshop only to find broken toys about to be discarded. Although lacking confidence, Allthumbs repairs the toys in his usual bungling manner. When Santa's regular workers become sick at the critical time before Christmas, the misfits find a place in Santa's bag and in the homes of delighted children. Allthumbs teaches kindness and redemption every day but especially during the Christmas season.
