Very cute story. I loved the different roles politics played in this story. There was actual political politics (Kate's dad, congress) as well as small town politics, school politics, family politics, and teenage politics. There was a lot going on in this story, but it all fit together quite well. The story was quite adorable with the great friendships, family bonding, budding romance, and baby animals. Who doesn't love baby animals?!

Overall: a sweet story of redemption, family bonds, and friendship.
