I’m back to loving flawed books the most, especially ones that include the note from the author explaining why the flaws are the reason she loves it the most, an achievement all on their own. Sometimes I forget what a first book could feel like— the impossible made possible in one stack of paper.

Like all Crusies, the banter alone is worth the price of admission. It’s small town Kentucky and hilarious ill-fated dates and true love born in a fishing boat on a lake. Throw in a dive bar and some competence porn and a few lifelong friends, what’s not to love? And love it, I do.
