Prior to my life-changing encounter with God, I was on a rollercoaster of existence. I had reached a plateau of conformability, which in turn produced feelings of unrest. There were highs and lows, joy and sorrow, comfort and pain until Sunday, 19th October 1997. A touch from God enabled me to reflect on my life and see that it was all right to dismount from my ride and exit the fairground. Endless rivers of tears were a result of the awakening of my spirit and a realisation that there was more to life than the world could offer me. I started to creatively express my new journey in 2002 in the form of poetry. As my inspiration from God grew from strength to strength I began to share my writings and I have publicly recited most of the work in this book, with continuous encouragement from my pastor, family and brethren to share my gift with the world. This book is symbolic of my light shining before men, that they may see my good deeds, and praise our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16). I pray that the readers of this book will truly be encouraged and blessed by my labour oflove.
