Summary: This book tells the turbulent life story of a young teenage girl, Lisa Dean, abused and eventually raped by her violent and drunken father. After running away she finds friendship and solace with a prostitute who takes pity on her after a violent street confrontation. Slowly, she drifts into the world of vice. Her life changes dramatically when a besotted and wealthy client offers her a deal of a lifetime - 'the Deal'. Wanted for the murder of two local girls, he knows the police are rapidly closing the net on him and prison is not too far off. Eager to protect his fortune, and with no one else to turn to, he offers her the chance to make something of her life: to look after his money - to enjoy it, invest it, set up a business, whatever she wants, as long as she and his money are there when he gets out of prison. The Deal sounds too good to be true for her - a fortune to spend as she chooses, but one day he will get out and the 'Deal' is that both her and the money are his. Unable to resist, she accepts the 'Deal'. Twenty years later, it is payback time because, like it or not, a 'Deal' is a 'Deal'.
Desperate to protect her family she goes to extreme measures, but this backfires on her with fatal consequences. The book concludes with a violent and shocking climax.
