This Bhakti Master Class series is a detailed, verse-by-verse study of Sri Bhakti-rasama' ta-sindhu. We know Bhakti-rasama' ta-sindhu in the West as The Nectar of Devotion, by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, which is a summary study of the original work. This series is based on an edited version of a translation of Sri Bhakti-rasama' ta-sindhu by my Godbrother Bhanu Svami. It includes two important commentaries, one by Jiva Gosvami and another by Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakur, that illuminate the intended meaning of the text. The primary subject of Bhakti-rasama' ta-sindhu is rasa-tattva. Tattva means a division of knowledge or a certain set of truths. The Vedas describe various tattva such as jiva-tattva, visa'au-tattva and sakti-tattva, but the most important tattva is rasa-tattva because it completely describes the field of possible relationships between the soul and the Lord.
