Tor lives at the far end of Stonymount m a house that looks like an old steam engine pulling a long line of houses. When he was bored and grumpy one day, his mother sent him to visit his grandfather, who lived in a house full of fantastic curiosities and magic, where history was so alive that Tor could walk right through it. And so he does, with the help of a hot air balloon, a Roman ship, and a riddle he solves with knowledge he finds along the way.
