A journey through motherhood which includes one pregnancy per decade and begins with the life lessons that being a parent of a disabled child affords is a story that needs to be shared. Letters to Elizabeth gives way to a glimpse of that journey. The letters and stories that I began writing over 20 years ago are grouped together in chapters that support a common thought. The letters offer my conclusions to the challenges of being a mom and are influenced by my evolving faith in God. In addition to the books spiritual appeal, Letters to Elizabeth hits on a variety of parenting issues. The many topics give an opportunity to relate on a multitude of levels including stillbirth, disability, divorce, career changes, step-families, and motherhood after 40. Letters to Elizabeth is written with the love and thoughtfulness of a mother for her child and it is my hope that it's impact on the spirit's of others would be the same.
