Dave, a young detective from the San Francisco area, steps right into the fire as he lands in the largest city in northern Alaska. He meets his fellow investigators, Lieutenant 'Jake' Jacobson, Chief Morrison, Investigator Gloria Caruthers, Doc Morgan, the chief pathologists, and Detective Smokey Smothers. Together this unlikely team, through the good and bad, attempt to find the truth behind varoius local and statewide crimes. Their adventures take them through many parts of the state as they chase the 'bad guys.'
