It's the first day of school, a new school year for fifth grader Andrew Curtis. And while he is returning to his same school, everything else in his life has gone whacko. Mom and Dad are divorced, the family home has been sold and Andrew, Mom and sister Emily now live together in an apartment. Dad, meanwhile, has moved to another state with his new family. But the very first day he clashes with a new student in his class, Seth, and this boy, an expert at verbal bullying, soon makes his life miserable. Andrew's only friend to remain true, Robert, urges him to turn Seth in for harassment. But Andrew is filled with the teachings of Jesus from Sunday school, and is determined to find a way to "love his enemies." Seth seems unlovable, and the project seems hopeless. Or is it Fullness of Joy will take you into Andrew's heart and soul as he wrestles with what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
