Taylor and Hunter are both trying to bury their pain, and these secrets they keep, are keeping them from fully enjoying the people around them. That is, until fate brings them together.
This is an enjoyable enemies to lovers NA romance. I really like Hunter. There was a lot more to him. I am going to be cliche, and say he is like an onion, he has many layers, and I love what Taylor found underneath. I also really liked the "family", who were there to support Taylor. Part of me felt like the "secrets" were not something that needed to be kept secret or would be deal breakers for relationships, but they were things that would definitely leave a person wounded and broken. There were a few parts of the book, which I thought could have been edited to be shorter, but overall, this book delivered what I look for in an NA romance. Likable MCs, who I cared about, chemistry between the MCs, and Hunter made me swoon.
