Some unknown force inside of the beast drove it. It did not understand it and did not care to understand it; it just had to satisfy it. It closed in on the object of its destruction and when it got close enough, it delivered the bone crushing assault. David wanted to reach for a towel to wipe the sweat from his burning neck but all he could do was let the perspiration drip. His head rolled downward and some of the moisture fell off his face. When David saw that it was blood dripping all over his orange camouflaged vest, panic attacked his mind and he tried to move. He wanted to scream but found that no sounds could be summoned out of his mouth. With his throat slit all the way through to the back of his neck, he fell forward and his body felt no pain because he was paralyzed from his wound. He could only watch as his last days of his life was passing like a dream. David wanted it to be a dream, wanted someone to pinch him so he could wake up, because what he saw stalking him could not be real.
