The concept of this book is really interesting but the narrative isn't fully formed. The characters aren't even one dimensional, they're just sketches. The plot is sparse. The most developed and interesting bit is the plants which actually have personalities and interesting dialog. But even the things they did were completly unmotivated and so had no purpose. I think would have liked this quite a bit if it was actually a full story and not just a sparse narrative.
