This text is aimed at pupils in their final year of Key Stage 3 science who are approaching their National Tests. It summarizes all the topics covered in KS3 Science, levels 3-6, and should be useful either for revision purposes or as an alternative to a course text. The book is divided into three major sections to correspond with the three areas covered by KS3 Science: life processes and living things; materials and their properties; and physical processes. Within these sections, each topic is covered by means of an illustrated and colour-coded double-page spread, which ends with a list of key terms and a number of short answer questions. At the end of each chapter (comprising all the spreads on a particular topic area) is a summary of the essential points covered and a set of questions designed to mirror the structure of the National Test questions to enable students to become familiar with the style. In addition to the three major sections, there are two short sections at the beginning of the book which give advice on how best to study and prepare for exams, and how to design scientific investigations.
