It's one that has a sickeningly sweet at times the main character June is one that you like and then wants to hit your head against the wall because of the way they're acting.
June is now the mayor of the small town she lives in while also running a magical shop. The thing is she doesn't seem to be the best at juggling all this and is far too focused on getting her ex back at first it seems.
This focus thankfully changes as time goes on and tragedy's start happening in the town that needs her attention. These tragedies lead her to work with other business owners in the town to try and solve what's happening because the police chief isn't.
Overall this book just didn't work for me. I liked the side characters more than I liked June and at times I just found her rather annoying. Maybe that's just because I started reading the fourth book in the series and not from the beginning though. I could be missing important details that would have explained why she was acting the way she was. If you like the Good Witch show you'll probably like this book as I saw a lot of similarities between the two from little pieces of the show I've caught here and there.
