I reread it before reading Morning Star to make sure I remembered everything, and this time I read it physically instead of reading the audiobook. It helped a lot. I'm yet again amazed by a Pierce Brown book.
2019: 4 stars
Again, a really good book and somehow it doesn't seem to be suffering from the middle book syndrome, which is surprising. (At least, I thought this was originally written as a trilogy, but I haven't checked my sources so I can be mistaken.)
I read the first half of this book via its audiobook and maybe audiobooks are just not really my thing? I had a bit of trouble to keep all events straight and focus on what was happening. The second half I read physically and I loved it again so much. The plot twists, the complex characters... I am curious to see how this series progresses.
