In 1902, the Italian government purchased the extraordinary Gallery Borghese. The centennial celebration of the acquisition of this historical palazzo will conclude with an unprecedented event in Italy: the project "Face to Face" which brings together ancient art, contemporary art and the art of restoration. This text is about the coexistence and the dialogue between seven Italian masters and seven masterpieces of the past (five of which are being restored for the occasion) belonging to the Gallery Borghese and presented to the public for the first time.
