There are very few instances where blinds don't work If the windows can't take blinds, for some reason, they more than likely won't be right for curtains either, so leave the window bare or dress the window. Curtains are still most probably the best choice for a stately home or perhaps in a very traditional house as they are in keeping with the architectural style, but you can, of course, still use blinds in the kitchens and bathrooms. If you need to create the illusion of height in a room you can use "dressed curtains" together with blinds, or maybe panels which are on tracks from the ceiling. At last there is a replacement for those ghastly "net curtains". Translucent blinds solve the problem. You can have privacy and the window is left uncluttered. A great improvement! Wooden shutters are my favourite type of window coverings, they seem to fit into most schemes and always look good. I love the simple lines and they can be made to fit any window in a multitude of colours but look especially good in natural wood or simply pure white. Everybody has likes and dislikes but I think I have come up with enough ideas for blinds in this Sketchbook to keep everybody happy!
