Greg still hasn't changed his terrible ways, but if he did, then I don't think this book would have been as comical. He always does the most to get out of his duties and responsibilities, which ends up making things even worse for him. He's always coming up with crazy schemes, but he rarely succeeds.  

Manny is becoming even more chaotic (which I didn't think was possible) and I'm totally living for it.  

I also like the cartoons because they add more humour to the story.  

The Last Straw has more substance and an actual plot when compared to previous books in the series, but for the most part I'm still unimpressed.
