Reviews

The new world of the X-men universe is coming out strong, especially with the Marauders. I love the team line-up especially Kate Pryde & Emma Frost with other favorites like Storm & Iceman. It started strong and finished with a shocking ending. I want to grab vol 2 to find out what happens next.

I love how each person is written, especially with the writers getting how strong and grown up Kate is. They also write a fantastic Emma Frost, with some writers in the past not understanding that Frost can be ruthless with some but she has a soft spot for children and teaching. She hasn't been "evil" for many many years.

We get to see more of the politics on Krakoa, especially with the new Hellfire Club members and Kate plays a large part in that. You get to see Shaw and Frost navigating the inner workings of those two trying to be the top dog in the new Hellfire formation. My money is on Emma winning that fight in the long run.

The writing is great and I liked the art. Overall I was happy with what I read.
