Certainly not the best in the series. I found the beginning to be quite slow, but then it did pick up a bit. Almost seemed like another "filler book". Still enjoyed it though.

The action and mystery were a bit in the background throughout the entire novel and tangled when it was present. There were two problems Sookie was dealing with and both problems required the reader to remember quite a lot of background and characters from the previous 11 books--unlike in past novels Harris did not do a lot of recapping of key events to make sense of the current events.

At the conclusion of the novel, I believe I know who Sookie will give her heart too, if she doesn't keep it to herself, that is.
