This splendid programme features heavy-duty trucking operations in five separate regions of Canada. First up is Quebec with the amazing sights and sounds of a B-Train drag-racing haulage competition up one of the steepest of grades in the city with pairs of outfits grossing 63-tonnes, plus a truck show where some of the smartest North American units shine. That footage is followed by rock salt haulage in Saskatoon from open-cast mines with Peterbilts coupled to bottom-dump Lode-King B-Train trailers. Then the programme features the dismantling and movement of an oil rig in Alberta with Foremost all-terrain vehicles assisted by long wheelbase 8 x 4 Kenworth and Western Star trucks. The journey continues with tri-drive Kenworth tractors hauling fuel from Skagway, Alaska into the Yukon; this particular segment features 'Big Bertha', an 8 x 6 rigid Kenworth tanker built for the demanding terrain. Finally, the CP team concludes this sparkling tribute to Canada's trucking scene with rugged off-highway Pacific logging trucks on Vancouver Island hauling and dumping their loads.
