Wilder is best known for his philosophic writings and as Editor of H. P. Blavatsky's "Isis Unveiled," but he was also one of the best known Physicians of his time, having been an instructor in Medicine and Psychology at three colleges, Editor of at least 3 Medical Journals, and author of the 900 pp. "History of Medicine." He'd be regarded as an Holistic practitioner today, believing that medicine must regard the whole of human nature and not just the body.
