I really enjoyed Wild Cards as well Elkeles' other series, Perfect Chemistry. This one though, the second book of the Wild Cards series, is a f****** train wreck. I just couldn't figure out what kind of message this book is trying to convey. There's a lot of brooding, then out-of-the blue, there's death. And then, our heroine is suddenly falling inlove with our male protag. OMG! Everything just snowballed without proper transition, I am so surprised that the author didn't suffer dizziness after writing this book.
