The lives and legends of the most well-known saints are here newly retold for children and illustrated by the paintings of some of the world's greatest artists. The iconography of the paintings is explained in simple terms, and a calendar of feast days and an index of paintings are also included. The sai nts featured include St Francis, St Christopher, St John and st George among many others. The paintings come from museums all over the world, including; the Victoria & Albert Museum, London; the Alte Pinakothek, Munich; the Prado and the Museo Lazaro Gandiano, Madrid; but the National Gallery, London and the Louvre, Paris are particularly well represented. The artists featured include: Giotto, Raphael, Bosch, Caravaggio and Ingres. Carole Armstrong is the co-author of "All My Own Work" and "My Sticker Art Gallery".
