This text aims to provide the knowledge readers need to pass the three examinations unique to the Web Designer certification. Two additional courses are covered in a separate book (these two courses are prerequisites to four distinct CIP certifications, and IDG are publishing them separately to avoid duplication). The organization of the book corresponds exactly to the certification tests, which should prove to be of benefit for all those preparing to take part in Novell exams. More importantly, the information in this book is more extensive than that provided in the Novell printed course material to compensate for the absence of an instructor. It is also much less extensive than an "all-you-ever-need-to-know" guide to keep the reader's focus on the course material. The book covers two courses: 660 - Designing Effective Web Sites; and 654 - Web Authoring. The attached CD-ROM includes samples of products promoted by Novell for this course: Netscape Communicator, NetObjects' Fusion and an Adobe Photoshop demo.
