First published in 1985, the authors, have gathered together an impressive array of top pike anglers to examine all aspects of fishing the predator in all conditions and in all waters from the Lochs of Scotland and the Loughs of Ireland to the rivers of Wessex and the Norfolk Broadlands. The two main authors and their guests - such names as Barrie Rickards, Mick Brown, Bob Mousley and Vic Bellars have now extensively revised the text and illustrations to take into account eight years of innovation and development in fishing. John Bailey has well over a dozen books for Crowood to his credit, and remains one of the biggest names in angling. Martyn Page is a top pike angler, who went on to co-write "Pike - In Pursuit of Esox Lucius" for Crowood in 1990.
