[The Romantic Comedy Book Club]

I will warn you, if you read this first - you may not like The Love Hypothesis and vice versa as the stories are incredibly similar (the ending is worth reading them both) but I loved this one more. Your ideal enemes to friends rom-com.

A quick fun read. I loved that the main character was an identical twin. The concept that Olive's twin sister Amy is lucky and wins contests and sweepstakes constantly was really unique and one of my favorite aspects of the story.

Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and the backdrop of Hawaii made this book really easy to breeze right through.

I enjoyed this so much. It was fast, funny and just plain cute.

A fun, guaranteed enjoyable re-read for the start of the year. I listened to the audiobook this go around and still absolutely loved it. I may have loved it more because I really liked the narrators. I thought they did great at bringing this story to life.

I read this in one sitting, and while I'm normally not a hate to love fan, I really dug this. Loved Olive and Ethan's personalities, and they really made this story something special. I'll definitely be looking into other books by this combo, for sure!

It's hard to wrong with a CL book and this one is no exception!
I had the pleasure of reading this one on vacation and I loved every bit of it! I'll admit to some frustration here and there with aspects of the plot but I appreciated Olive's growth.
As with CL's books, the humor is always there, the laugh out loud moments, which is deftly combined with some hot sexy times.

No more conflicts that could be solved with one grown-up conversation! Come on, people. I can give it a pass, grudgingly, because the premise is fun. Well, except for how the narcissistic douchebag brother stresses me out, because there’s been some recent family drama dealing with the same kind of NPD and I am at zero tolerance for that behavior. Ethan doesn’t get a pass either, just for being “the good brother.” You pull the kind of stunt he does, you are getting a talk about boundaries instead of cheers and kisses. Which is probably why I’ve never felt like a Christina Lauren book gets me.

But that’s me. And I do like this trope. And I mean, that book cover, right?!

UNHONEYMOONERS was another fun read by Christina Lauren. This story was full of witty banter and family drama. The trope is enemies to lovers. I enjoyed Olive and Ethan’s interaction and was entertained by their love-hate relationship.

Another great romance by the awesome writing duo, Christina Lauren. I really enjoyed getting to know Olive and I adored Ethan. They were awesome together and though we didn't get Ethan's POV, I still really enjoyed his character. The only thing I didn't like about this book was Dane. Haha, other than that...fantastic read!

The Unhoneymooners took a very unlikely scenario and made it mostly believable, funny, and incredibly full of sexual tension. It was hysterical and moved along quickly – I finished it in one sitting on a Sunday! Olive is a very likable and spunky character. I especially loved how comfortable she was with her body, even though she mentions it not being to everyone’s standard of beauty. She and Ethan have clear chemistry and it was hilarious watching them dance around it while having to pretend they were madly in love.

I laughed out loud so many times while reading this. The banter is 100% on point! I kind of wished the incident that incited their intense “dislike” of each other had been handled differently, but you can’t have everything. View Spoiler »

4/5 stars. This is a great read for the beach or any summer vacation. It’s lighthearted and breezy and fun. On the same note, don’t expect depth from it…it’s cute and sweet and left me with warm fuzzies, but no real lasting connection to Olive and Ethan. That’s okay! It did what it was designed to do – entertain, and it did it extremely well. All the unlikely coincidences started to build up after awhile and made me roll my eyes a bit, and Ami (Olive’s sister) seemed more like a caricature than a character in a lot of ways. That said, I still thoroughly enjoyed it! This was my first Christina Lauren book but it won’t be my last!
