This is an introduction to Buddhism, Shintoism and other Japanese folk traditions and their respective festivals such as Shoatsu (New Years Day), Setsebun (Bean-throwing ceremony) and the children's festivals of Hina Matsuri (Girl's Day) and Kodomo-no-hi (Children's Day) and Shichi-go-san (seven-five-three festival).
