More than any of their contemporaries, the Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron (both b. 1950) are challenging the boundaries between architecture and art. Echoing an encyclopedia, this publication, which accompanies an exhibition of the same name organized by the Canadian Centre for Architecture, reflects the "natural history museum" structure of the exhibition.
