I just read this very cute book to my 2nd grade class. I wasn't sure how they would like it considering I have 17 boys(many like dogs better than cats) and 8 girls in my class, but they all were totally drawn into the story. They liked the cat, Autumn, and worried about her when she disappeared. There is such a fun surprise at the end of the story that makes you feel good. I love everything Patricia Polacco has written.
