I can't help it. I simply didn't care for the book. It was just too simply written. I realize that the book is supposed to appeal to middle/high school kids, but honestly, every middle/high school kid can read far more complexly written books than this was. The characters have little to no depth to them at all. There are typos throughout the book and while I realize the book is self-published, you cannot tell me that someone else could not have "beta-read" or helped the author proofread the book before publication. I also thought the ending was far too abrupt, as though the author ran out of ideas and just decided to end the book at that point with an ending that makes zero sense.

From my understanding, the author was actually a teen herself when this book was published. While I admire the girl's tenacity, I honestly think she should have waited a bit longer, perfected her craft a bit more, and made sure to have others read the work and help her proofread and edit it before publishing. It is painfully obvious that it was written by an inexperienced author. I am sorry to say that I cannot recommend this book to anyone as it simply needed a lot more work before it was published.
