No caravan manufacturer has ever been as big or as successful as Sprite. From the late 1950s to the mid-1970s they dominated the caravan market offering cheap, lightweight and easy to tow caravans. Mention Sprite to any caravanner, and the chances are that they have owned one at some point. Company founder Sam Alper would come to be known as the 'King of Caravans', with his initiatives paving the way for modern caravan manufacture and sales techniques. To this day, the brand is still in production but the company is now owned by the Swift Group. Models such as the Alpine, Musketeer and Major have now been in production for at least fifty years.

This book serves as a complete guide to the history of the brand and the individual models, from the company's inception in 1948 to when the infamous Newmarket factory closed its doors in 1993. You can find everything here from vital technical specifications to samples of the original exterior colours and upholstery. It's a must have for any Sprite owner or enthusiast.
