I will start with the fact that I loved the premise. I loved that since he was a little boy, Liam would comfort Amber. There was....something between them, and it was finally going to happen for them.

The story took a few odd turns, with the sex-bet, and it got a little OTT, when the father returned to town, but the story held my interest, and I absolutely wanted to know where it was going.

There were quite a few times I wondered about the type of parenting these children were getting, but I let it go, and just went with the story.

I won't lie, it was the schmaltzy stuff that really won my heart, and when I got a jump-ahead ending, I was beyond happy. And, yes, the ending was quite wonderful and left me really happy.

Cute love story. There are some serious topics tackled in the book, but its well done. The love between Liam and Amber is adorable. The book was predictable and everything, but if you are looking for a sweet, romantic, love story, this is a great book. I read it in one sitting.

I read this for a Buddy Read to attempt to get into the New Adult genre. I probably should have researched this book a little further, prior to putting it onto my NA list, but I saw it on others' bookshelves in the group. Thought the blurb sounded interesting, and here I am.

This is YA though, and really just not my preference at all. I disliked so much about this book, and I'm disappointed with how it was done in general. There was the potential to make this a serious YA novel, that deals with psychological issues caused by abuse, and it just didn't happen.

I'll probably even avoid this author in the future with how much I disliked this book.

I didn't know what to feel when reading this book. The story was realistic in places and raw. I felt it lost it's way a little and the story became far too sexually based than needed, otherwise it would have ended up as one of my favourite reads.

The author should be applauded though, for breaching subjects such as abuse and sexual abuse / rape, as most young adult books wouldn't dare.

I read this book for the first time when it was still on Wattpad back in 2012. I love Kirsty Moseley. She is a fantastic author and I will always follow her because she is great. When I found out TBWSIMBW was on sale for only .99 cents, I knew I had to buy it so I 1-clicked it and started reading immediately. The reason why I got it was because I remembered this book would put me in a good mood when I would read it before (I read it like 3 times). I wasn't having a good night so I bought this, knowing it would lighten up my mood and that's what it did.

Amber and Liam have known each other since Amber was 4 and Liam was 6. Amber had an abusive father and Liam knew about it. One night, he sneaked in Amber's window and lied down with her on her bed and both fell asleep. This happened for two weeks straight and they both realized they needed each other in order to sleep through the night. Now Amber is 16 and Liam is 18 and their nightly routine hasn't stopped. Even though they are sweet to one another at night, by day time, all they do is annoy one another. Amber only sees Liam as her brother's best friend but Liam has always loved his Angel. (If you want to know the amazing story of why Liam calls Amber Angel, you have to read the story.)

I love this story. The characters aren't annoying, which I love. Most of the characters have their funny moments and serious moments so there's a balance. The plot is engaging—the story keeps you wanting to keep reading until the end. I had forgotten why Liam calls Amber "Angel" and when I got to that part of the story, I started awww'ing a lot and got reminded of why I love this story so much. I know some readers say that Amber gave it up too soon to Liam, but in my mind, she didn't. Yes, she had been abused by her father and wouldn't let anyone touch her, but as she mentioned, the only people she felt comfortable with touching her are her brother, her mom and Liam. And even then, she would stop Liam a bunch of times before they actually went all the way.

I love stories that have a player in it that falls in love but there aren't many stories out there that are good in this area...they really suck. It's hard to find a player story that is done well and Kirsty did it eloquently. I fell once more for the characters.
