This is my 7th Jay McLean read, so, I am obviously a fan. This book reunited me with friends from Where the Road Takes Me and let's me get to know Josh on a whole other level. I loved getting to know his whole back story, as well as getting to see it progress. And Tommy! How much fun was it to get to know the little man. He was awesome! This is very McLean-like -- it's raw and angsty and real. Relationships are explored and challenged. Sometimes, it's hard witnessing these evolving relationships, but like any good train wreck, you can't look away. I love that McLean embraces the good, the bad and the ugly. She shows her characters -- scars and all. I find comfort in reading about people who make mistakes, but also try to right those wrongs. So many interesting issues explored in this one. Can't wait for more!
