Day One is a thrilling, fast-moving and humorous spy spoof, with our heroine (Miss Alex Dean) being more Bridget Jones than James Bond. The plot revolves around the emotive topic of cloning, and the slightly less emotive (and downright bizarre) topic of public addiction to cannabis and mint toothpaste! We follow our feisty protagonist on her first job fresh out of espionage school, as she tries to thwart the evil Magicmist Empire, whilst dealing with numerous other distractions. These include her hunky, but egomaniacal, colleague Maximillian Montgomery, whose efforts to 'break in' his new trainee are successful in more ways than one; the gorgeous Canadian truck driver B.J. who may be an enemy agent, but does Alex really give a damn; and her never-ending craving for chocolate, which leads to more trouble! Of course, everything does work out in the end for Alex and Max - but what the readers will really care about is all the fun they (and we) have whilst they're doing it. Day One is a roller coaster ride of humour, passion, thrills and spills - so why not climb aboard and hold on tight?
